This has been an expensive week for the Smith household! On Thursday, we took Daniel to the ophthalmologist (already posted about that). He didn't give Daniel a different prescription this time around, but Daniel's frames were a little worse for wear, so we got him some new ones and picked them up tonight. Friday, we took Lydia (12) to the optometrist, as she had been complaining that she couldn't see very well far away. It turns out that she is a bit near sighted. (Daniel is extremely far sighted.) So we ordered her glasses yesterday, and also picked them up tonight. This is her first pair, and she really likes them. I think they look lovely on her.
So while I'm $300 broker now (after $100 times two, plus Lydia's optometrist appointment at $65 and the copay for Daniel's ophthalmologist appointment... ouch), at least kids' eyeballs are taken care of for a while!
