A trip to Kings Dominion 8-2-10

We took a trip week before last to Kings Dominion. The kids LOVE a good theme park, and I didn't want this summer to pass without one, so since KD had tickets on sale we took them there. In the past few years, we've gone to Busch Gardens, which in my opinion is a MUCH nicer park, but the nicer park comes with a higher price tag. Between all the Dr, chiro and dental visits this summer, we have been rather broke. So we went with the cheaper and closer park. Kids had a GREAT time, and Spouse and I rode a few things in the water park- things that wouldn't manage to undo all the good work Dr. Burger has put into my neck and back over the last few months. So Hhere's a pic that I managed to get of the four kids, who upon grumbling about it were reminded that the very least they could do was let me get a picture of them with Snoopy. Grumbling stopped, and giggling commenced. I suspect this will be the very last time I can capture an image of them with a costumed character. Their patience with their picture-snapping mom only goes so far.

Amazingly no one got sunburned during our stay at Kings Dominion. This is close to a miracle, since my family could give Edward Cullen a run for his money on the pale factor. Fortunately, none of us currently sparkle in any way, though with our recent schedule, one might confuse us for a family of the undead. We've all gone nocturnal, and with the kids starting back to school in 8 days (yes, you read that right), I've got to get them back to a diurnal schedule pronto!
