Wild Life at VCU 12-9-10

On my way to my 11:00 class today, I happened to see this guy having a snack on campus. I was standing less than 15 feet from a red-tailed hawk. He had a buddy in the tree above him too, but I didn't get a good pic of him or her. He didn't seem to care that he was in the middle of Richmond, a busy city where hawks are a strange sight. He didn't seem to care that I was so close. Apparently his squirrel snack was much more interesting than I was. I also took video of him, but reviewing it, it was kindof gross seeing him pick apart the squirrel. Ew.

I think that nature will always overlook man's determination to try and drive it out. :)

Glad you survived the semester.
